Let’s Start Preserving

  • Step 1: Send Them Promptly

    Please ensure your flowers arrive at our studio within 3 days of your event. Delays beyond this window can lead to wilting or mold during transit.
    We highly recommend assigning someone, like a family member or friend to be in charge of shipping your bouquet promptly after the event.

    Step 2: Keep Flowers Hydrated

    Place your bouquet in cool water until you're ready to ship.
    Do not store flowers in a refrigerator or freezer, as this can cause rotting or mold.

    Step 3: NO Signature Required

    When shipping, please choose “No signature required”
    If a signature is required, your flowers may be delayed by the carrier and arrive to our studio wilted. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for delays caused by this option.

    Step 4: Pre-Shipment Flower Care

    • Keep flowers in cool water until packing time.

    • Carefully trim the ends of the stems at an angle. If the stems are tightly bundled, you can make small vertical cuts up the sides instead—this helps the stems absorb water.

    • Place the bouquet in a vase with water, out of direct sunlight.

    • Avoid touching the petals to prevent bruising until your ready to ship.

    Step 5: Packing Your Flowers

    A. Soak paper towels in cool water.
    B. Wrap the damp paper towels around the stems only—they should be moist but not dripping.
    C. In warmer months, place ice packs (in ziplock bags) in the box to keep flowers cool. Do not expect these to be returned.
    D. Wrap a plastic bag (like a ziplock) around the damp paper towel/stems only, not the blooms.

    WARNING!!! Never let plastic touch the petals ONLY THE STEMS


    E. Secure everything with a rubber band to prevent leaks.
    F. Gently wrap the bouquet in newspaper for protection.
    G. If sending photos, invitations, or small mementos (e.g., keychains), place them in a ziplock bag, wrap them in cling wrap, and secure them to the side of the box.
    H. Place the wrapped bouquet into the box with additional paper or padding to keep it from shifting in transit.
    I. write your order number on the box and Ship your package via the postal carrier of your choice—we recommend Australia Post.
    J. Request overnight shipping with tracking.
    K. If your event falls on a weekend, shipping on Monday is perfectly fine, as long as the flowers are kept in COOL water until then.

    Remember:Do not require a signature for delivery.

    Step 6: Your flowers have arrived—let the preserving begin!
    Now that your bouquet is safely with us, you can sit back and relax while we begin the preservation process.

    We’ll be in touch throughout the design phase to ensure your keepsake reflects your vision. Once your design is ready, you’ll receive an email for approval. You’ll have 24 hours to respond with your feedback or approval. If we don’t hear back within that timeframe, we will proceed with the order as planned.

    You can expect to receive your design email approximately 4–6 weeks after we receive your flowers.

  • If you are dropping off your flowers please ensure you do so within 3 days of your event, to help preserve flowers as best as possible either place them into a vase with cool water and keep out of sunlight or prep them using steps 1,2 and 4  located above 

    • Drop off will be in the mornings from 9-11am Monday-Saturday

    • We accept cash at the time of drop off

  • Disclaimers

    • Keepsake Atelier will only ship back finished products. Extra flowers or plastic containers will not be returned.

    • In the event of excessive wilting / molding of flowers, it will be necessary to purchase new flowers, no refunds will be issued.

    • Please note that no refunds are offered under any circumstances.

    • Keepsake Atelier does not cover the shipping costs for sending flowers to us. However, we will cover the cost of shipping the finished product back to you.

    • Keepsake Atelier is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the shipping process.

    • Please be aware that standard orders may take up to 6 months to complete. However, we assure you that the final product will be well worth the wait!
